David Gergen is a professor of public service and co-director of Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership, positions he has held for a decade, and a CNN senior political analyst. He was an advisor to presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Clinton, experiences he wrote about in his New York Times best-seller, Eyewitness to Power. Beginning in 1984 with the “MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour,” Gergen’s journalism career spans 30 years of public affairs commentating, two Peabody and two Emmy awards, and editing U.S. News & World Report. His board service includes Teach for America, City Year, Schwab Foundation, The Mission Continues, the Aspen Institute, and Morgan Stanley’s Institute for Sustainable Investing.
