Nishant Jain is an artist and writer. A self-taught sketchbook-flaneur, his work revolves around a curiosity for urban life and how cities allow strangers to coexist in harmony. Jain shares his art and ideas about mindfulness and observation in his weekly newsletter “The SneakyArt Post” on Substack. Previously, he left a doctoral program in neuroscience to become a novelist. After getting stuck halfway through his debut novel, Jain started drawing as a way to get over writer's block, found inspiration on the streets of Chicago, and began an unexpected journey as an artist. “Make (Sneaky) Art,” his book to help readers build a sketchbook habit, is due out later this year.
