Charles Scharf is president, CEO and a board of directors member of Wells Fargo and Company. A financial services leader for over 25 years, he was previously CEO of Bank of New York Mellon and chairman of its board. Prior to that, Scharf was CEO and a director of Visa, a managing director of One Equity Partners and CEO of retail financial services at JPMorgan Chase, and CEO of the retail division of Bank One Corp. He has also been CFO of Bank One, Citigroup’s corporate and investment bank division, and Salomon Smith Barney and its predecessor company.
