David Olusoga

Historian; Professor of Public History, University of Manchester

David Olusoga is a historian, TV presenter and filmmaker, and professor of public history at the University of Manchester. He writes for The Observer, The Guardian, The New Statesman, The Voice and BBC History Magazine and presents the BBC history series “A House Through Time.” Olusoga’s award-winning TV series include “Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners,” which won a BAFTA, and “Black and British: A Forgotten History,” whose accompanying book of the same title won two prizes. He is the author or co-author of seven books, including “The World’s War” and “The Kaiser’s Holocaust: Germany’s Forgotten Genocide and the Colonial Roots of Nazism.” A fellow of the British Academy and Royal Society of Literature, Olusoga received the Norton Medlicott Medal for Services to History, among others.
