Hanna Corona
Leader, DemocraSHE and Bezos Scholar
Hanna Corona is a leadership team member at DemocraSHE, a national, nonpartisan organization fostering civic engagement via free online training for female-identified teens. She is the founder and president of her school’s first-ever women empowerment in politics club, involved in speech and debate, and serves on the school leadership and school site councils. As a Civics Unplugged fellow, Corona received training and funding to become a civic innovator. Living in an under-represented, under-served, and low-income community in East Los Angeles, she is passionate about equity in education and worker and immigrant rights while improving paths to citizenship. As a Bezos Scholar, Corona hopes to bridge gaps in financial literacy and engagement in politics to increase civic engagement of youth and women of color.
