John Feinblatt is president of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun-violence prevention organization in the United States, and a top advisor to Michael Bloomberg. During the twelve years of Bloomberg’s administration as mayor of New York City, Feinblatt served as his chief policy advisor and, before that, criminal justice coordinator. A criminal justice expert, Feinblatt was previously the founding director of both the Center for Court Innovation and the Midtown Community Court. Earlier in his career, he was deputy executive director of Victim Services (now Safe Horizon), a public defender with The Legal Aid Society, and a research associate at the Vera Institute of Justice, all New York City-based nonprofits. Feinblatt is co-author of Good Courts: The Case for Problem-Solving Justice.
