Katherine Schweit is a founding member of the Bureau Consortium and owner of Schweit Consulting. An attorney who worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 20 years, she created the FBI’s active shooter program after the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. Schweit joined a vice-presidential team to develop training to prevent and combat gun violence, co-wrote an FBI research study of active shooter incidents and executive produced the award-winning film, “The Coming Storm.” She authored “Stop the Killing: How to End the Mass Shooting Crisis” and “How to Talk About Guns With Anyone” and hosts a podcast, “Stop the Killing.” An adjunct professor DePaul College of Law, her board service includes the University of Michigan National Center for School Safety.
