Katie Porter is a U.S. Representative from California. She represents the 47th Congressional District in Orange County. Elected in 2018, she has focused on holding CEOs and government officials accountable. During the pandemic, Porter’s questioning secured free COVID-19 tests for all Americans. She has led legislation against corruption in Washington and to help families make ends meet. Porter has also secured laws to hold Big Pharma and Big Oil accountable for cheating patients, consumers and taxpayers. Previously, she was appointed California’s independent monitor of banks in a $25 billion national mortgage settlement and a professor at University of California, Irvine School of Law.
