Kim Mulkey is head coach of the Louisiana State University women's basketball program. In 2023, her second season at LSU, Mulkey led the Tigers to a national championship. Previously, she was head coach of the Baylor University women's basketball program, from 2000 to 2021. There, Mulkey led the Lady Bears to win the regular season conference title from 2011 to 2020 and NCAA Final Four twice. In 2012, Baylor finished the season 40-0 and in 2019 lost only one game, capturing its second and third national championships. Named AP National Coach of the Year twice, she is the fastest coach in history to win 600 games. Mulkey is the first coach to win a national championship as a player, an assistant coach and a head coach.
