L. Song Richardson
President of Colorado College
L. Song Richardson is the 14th president of Colorado College, since 2021. In this role, she has worked to dismantle systemic barriers to educational access and opportunity. Under Richardson’s leadership, the college prioritized conversations across differences, increased access and affordability, and launched a mental health and wellness partnership with Children’s Hospital. In July, she will return to the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, where she previously was dean and chancellor’s professor of law. Richardson has published over 30 articles and books examining and addressing impacts of conscious and unconscious racial and gender biases on decision making and judgment. Her honors include the Association of American Law Schools’ Derrick Bell Award, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Trailblazer Award, and GlobalMindED’s Inclusive Leader Award.
