Laura Kelly is governor of Kansas. In her first term, Kelly fully funded schools, improved infrastructure, and broke records for business investment and job creation, leading to prosperity throughout the state. After ending her first term with the largest budget surplus in history, Kelly was re-elected to a second term and sworn in as the 48th governor of the State of Kansas on January 9, 2023. In her second term, Kelly’s North Star is to make Kansas the best place in the country to raise a family. To that end, she will continue to prioritize fiscal responsibility, affordable health care, early childhood development, and the implementation of a long-term, sustainable water plan during her time in office.
