Lester Holt is a journalist at NBC News, where he’s anchor and managing editor of “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” and anchors “Dateline NBC.” In these roles, he has anchored from around the world and interviewed President Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, among others. Previously, Holt co-anchored “Weekend TODAY” and anchored MSNBC’s “Lester Holt Live” as well as its coverage of major news events. He started at NBC News in 2000, anchoring “Newsfront.” Holt began as a reporter at New York’s WCBS-TV in 1981, then worked at TV stations in Los Angeles and Chicago. His honors include the National Press Club Fourth Estate Award, Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award, multiple Emmys and the National Association of Black Journalists’ 2016 Journalist of the Year.
