Liz Dozier is founder and managing director of Chicago Beyond, a privately funded organization that invests in and analyzes new, innovative ideas and scalable programs to address youth safety and educational attainment. A lifelong educator, Dozier has spent her career working to interrupt the culture of inequity that is often pervasive in urban education. She was principal of Christian Fenger High School in Chicago from 2009 to 2015 and co-principal and turnaround strategist at Harper High School from 2008 to 2009, among other positions. Her honors include the 2015 Inspiring Hope Award from Northern Trust and the US Department of Education’s Top 15 Principals of Innovation Award.
