Paolo Carozza is a professor of law and concurrent professor of political science at University of Notre Dame, where he is also founder and director of the Notre Dame Constitutionalism and Rule of Law Lab. Previously at the university, he directed the Kellogg Institute for International Studies for 10 years. Carozza is the U.S. member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law. An academician of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, he has been a visiting professor at universities in Europe, North America and Latin America, including twice as a senior Fulbright scholar and the John Harvey Gregory Lecturer on World Organization at Harvard Law School. Carozza’s books and articles on comparative constitutional law and human rights law have been published in four languages.
