Robi Damelin is the Israeli spokesperson and director of international relations for the Parents Circle – Families Forum, an organization of 700 Israeli and Palestinian families who have lost close family members to the conflict and who work together to promote peace. Damelin has been an activist since her son, David, was killed by a Palestinian sniper in 2002. She has spoken around the world, including to the U.N. Security Council, U.S. Congress and the European, Spanish and Canadian parliaments. Featured in the documentary, “One Day After Peace,” Damelin was named a 2015 Woman of Impact by Women in the World and one of four Women PeaceMakers by the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice in 2014.
