Sammi Cannold is a theater, film and television director. She made her Broadway debut as director of “How to Dance in Ohio” in 2023. Cannold’s theater credits include “Evita,” “Rent in Concert” and “Carmen.” On television, she directed “Curtain Up!” live on ABC and was creative consultant on the 2021 Tony Awards; her first documentary feature film, “The Show Must Go On,” was released in 2021. She has been an artistic fellow at the A.R.T., a member of Cirque du Soleil's Creative Cognoscenti and a Sundance Institute fellow. Connold was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Hollywood & Entertainment in 2019, one of Variety’s 10 Broadway Stars to Watch and one of Town & Country’s Creative Aristocracy.
