Sandra Abrevaya is the CEO and co-founder of Synapticure, providing virtual care for families living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS. She is also a co-founder and board member of I AM ALS, a patient-led, patient-centric movement seeking a cure to the disease. Abrevaya is married to, and a caregiver for, Brian Wallach, who has been diagnosed with ALS. She is an executive producer and subject of the documentary about her and Wallach’s lives, “For Love and Life: No Ordinary Campaign.” Previously, Abrevaya was president and chief impact officer of Thrive Chicago. Prior to this, she was a founding CEO in the nonprofit sector and held senior roles with the city of Chicago, the White House, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives.
