Sharon Epperson is senior personal finance correspondent at CNBC, which she joined in 1996. Epperson also writes for CNBC.com and contributes to several NBC platforms. Prior to this, she was a correspondent for Time. Epperson is an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and founder of the Sharon Epperson Chair of Research at the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. She is the author of “The Big Payoff” and a contributor to “The Experts’ Guide to Doing Things Faster.” Epperson’s personal finance commentary has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Essence and Ebony, among other publications. Her recognition includes an Alliance for Women in Media’s Gracie Award for Outstanding Online Host for her “Financial Advisor Playbook” series.
