Tom Nides
Vice Chairman, Strategy and Client Relations, Blackstone; Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel
Thomas Nides is vice chairman of strategy and client relations at Blackstone. From 2021 to 2023, he was U.S. ambassador to Israel. Prior to that, Nides worked for over a decade at Morgan Stanley, as COO, managing director and vice chairman. From 2011 to 2013, he was deputy secretary of state and COO of the U.S. State Department, for which he was awarded the nation’s highest diplomatic honor. Nides has also previously been a senior leader at Credit Suisse and Fannie Mae. Earlier, he was chief of staff for the U.S. trade representative and an advisor to two U.S. representatives. He serves on the boards of the Partnership for Public Service, International Rescue Committee and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
