A. Shadi Kourosh is director of community health in the dermatology department at Massachusetts General Hospital, a dermatology professor at Harvard Medical School, and a dermatologist at Sadick Dermatology. She created Harvard’s virtual dermatology conferences and the Skin Advocate iPhone app. Co-author of the Facing Skin Conditions book series, Kourosh founded Mass General-Harvard’s pro bono tattoo-removal program for those escaping gangs and human trafficking and expanded it into The Radiance Clinic, an NGO providing dermatologic care for the underserved. Chair of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Task Force for the Intervention and Prevention of Human Trafficking, her recognition includes the American Academy of Dermatology’s Presidential Citation and being named one of Medscape’s 25 Rising Stars in Medicine.
