Adaora Okoli is an internal medicine resident at Tulane University. A medical doctor who was one of the few to survive the Ebola virus disease, she became the face of Nigeria’s response to the 2014 West African epidemic. Okoli is working to strengthen health systems in order to reduce the burden of infectious diseases in low-income communities and achieve equitable access to health for all. She is a member of the 2020 class of New Voices Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
