Adib Dada is an environmental activist and architect. He is the founder of theOtherDada, a regenerative consultancy and architecture practice based on biomimicry thinking that explores new ways of creating habitats for humans and other organisms to thrive. He is also founder and chief forest-maker for theOtherForest, a nature-based tool for ecological and social regeneration through which he has planted over 12,000 native trees and shrubs across Lebanon. Dada is a regular lecturer on environmental topics with Cambridge University, Goethe Institute, The Slow Factory, World Expo Dubai, and SXSW Eco. He is an Aspen MELI Fellow, Bio-Leadership Fellow, and recipient of numerous awards and grants, such as the McNulty Foundation Impact Grant and D&AD Future Impact Award. Among other media, Dada’s forest work is featured in the documentary, Growing Back Beirut.
