Adriane Alicea is deputy director at Green 2.0, an independent advocacy campaign to increase racial diversity among environmental organizations. She leads programmatic efforts driving strategy and coordination of products, programs and staff. Previously, she was director of government relations at MENTOR National, where she advocated for increased investment in youth mentoring and piloted a national training program for young people to drive social change. Alicea began her career working for Karen Bass when she was a U.S. representative from California. In this role for over two years, Alicea led a coalition of congresspeople on legislation affecting youth in foster care and engaged stakeholders on criminal justice, immigration and environmental and racial justice.
