Agnes Callard is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Chicago. She is the host of the “Minds Almost Meeting” podcast, and her commentary has appeared in Boston Review, The New Yorker and The New York Times, among other publications. Callard’s books include “Open Socrates: The Case for a Philosophical Life” and “Aspiration: The Agency of Becoming.” She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, The Lebowitz Prize and several teaching awards.
