Aisha Nyandoro is CEO of Springboard To Opportunities, which supports residents of affordable housing, and innovator of the organization’s Magnolia Mother’s Trust, which gives $1,000 per month to families led by African-American women in Jackson, Mississippi. Nyandoro’s work uses a resident-driven approach to improve quality of life and end generational poverty. Previously, she was vice president of the resident services program at The Wishcamper Companies, which led to Springboard, and a program officer for the Foundation for the Mid South. Nyandoro’s work and words have been featured in The New York Times, Essence, CNN, MSNBC, and Fast Company. She has held fellowships at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network and Ascend at the Aspen Institute.
