Alex Hedison is an artist and filmmaker. Working with large- and medium-format cameras, her photo series offer an encounter between the individual and the landscape’s immensity. Since 2017, she has received solo exhibitions with H Gallery, Paris; Von Lintel Gallery, Los Angeles; and Shinsegae Gallery in Seoul, South Korea. Hedison’s photography is part of public and private collections worldwide, including the Beth Rudin DeWoody collection, Barclays Capital, Participant Media and the Grunwald Collection at the Hammer Museum. Her acting career spans numerous television roles, including on “The L Word.” Hedison is the director of “Alok,” which explores compassion as a catalyst for social transformation and personal freedom beyond binaries and is featured in the 2024-2025 Sundance Film Festival International Short Film Tour.
