Allan Golston is president of the United States Program for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a position he has held since 2006. He leads the foundation’s efforts to ensure that all students receive a high-quality education and oversees the US Program’s major areas of investment: US education, Washington state, special initiatives, and advocacy. Golston joined the foundation as chief financial officer. With a professional background in finance, health care, and education, his previous roles include finance director for Swedish Medical Center and finance director and controller for University of Colorado Hospital. Golden is an active community volunteer who serves on the boards of several regional and national organizations.
