Amar Bakshi

Amar Bakshi is an artist and the creator of Shared_Studios, a multidisciplinary art, design, and tech organization that connects people across all forms of distance. In 2014, the studio launched Portals, which uses custom spaces equipped with audio-visual technology to allow participants to converse with others in identical spaces around the world. Bakshi is also founding director of The Legal Medium symposium. He was previously world producer and managing editor of CNN’s “Global Public Square,” special assistant to the US ambassador to the United Nations, and a reporter, editor, and producer for The Washington Post. He is a Truman Scholar and Soros Fellow.
