Andrea Mitchell is chief foreign affairs and chief Washington correspondent at NBC News and host of “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC. With NBC News since 1978, she has appeared regularly on “Meet the Press” and “The Chris Matthews Show” as a panelist and substitute host. Mitchell is the author of Talking Back: …To Presidents, Dictators, and Assorted Scoundrels, her memoir of experiences covering five U.S. presidents, Congress, and foreign policy. An Emmy Award-winning journalist, she has also received the Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, National Press Foundation Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism, and Radio-Television News Directors Foundation Zeidenberg Award for protecting the First Amendment.
