Andrew Yang is co-chair of the Forward Party, a political party supporting election reforms such as ranked-choice voting and open, nonpartisan primaries to bring more competition and better options to local election ballots. Prior to this, he founded the nonprofit Humanity Forward, successfully lobbying Congress for direct cash relief during the pandemic while simultaneously distributing over $8 million directly to struggling families. Previously, Yang was a 2021 New York City mayoral candidate and a 2020 presidential candidate. Host of the “Forward with Andrew Yang” podcast, he is also the author of five books, including The War on Normal People and Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy. Yang’s recognition includes the 2021 Vilcek Prize for Excellence in public service.
