Aziz Abu Sarah is co-founder of Mejdi Tours, a responsible travel company that offers different perspectives, and InterAct International, a nonprofit advancing sustainability, education and cross-cultural connections. A National Geographic Explorer and TED fellow, he has worked on peace and reconciliation efforts in over 60 countries. Abu Sarah was previously executive director of George Mason University’s Center for World Religions, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution and chairman of the Parents Circle-Families Forum. He’s the author of “Crossing Boundaries: A Traveler’s Guide To World Peace,” among other writings. Named one of the World’s Most Influential Muslims by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Jordan, his recognition also includes the U.N. Alliance of Civilization’s Intercultural Innovation Award and the Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East.
