
Benji Backer is the founder and CEO of Nature Is Nonpartisan, an organization working to redefine the environmental movement as an initiative shared by all, regardless of political affiliation. Backer is also executive chair of American Conservation Coalition, a conservative environmental organization he founded during his freshman year of college. Backer is the author of “The Conservative Environmentalist: Common Sense Solutions for a Sustainable Future.” A fellow at Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity, he is a board member of BridgeUSA and an advisory board member of Wisconsin Conservative Energy Forum. Backer’s recognition includes being named a NYTimes Changemaker and to the Grist 50, Fortune 40 Under 40, and GreenBiz 30 Under 30 lists.
