Bob Corker
Former US Senator (R), Tennessee; Former Chairman, Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Bob Corker is a former US senator who represented Tennessee from 2007 to 2019. A Republican, he chaired the Foreign Relations Committee from 2015 to 2019, choosing not to seek reelection in 2018. Corker served as mayor of Chattanooga from 2001 until 2005 and was appointed commissioner of finance and administration for the State of Tennessee from 1995 to 1996. He ran unsuccessfully for the Senate in 1994. Early in his career, Corker worked in construction, starting his own construction company, Bencor, which at one time was active in 18 states. After he sold his construction company, he acquired two large real estate companies in Chattanooga, which he then sold in 2006.
