Brandon Hurlbut is a co-founder of Boundary Stone Partners. He is a leader on climate policy, finance, technology, advocacy, law, politics, and media. He served in the Obama Administration as U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Chief of Staff and in the White House as the President's liaison to the energy and environment cabinet agencies. Brandon provided leadership and counsel to the White House and Cabinet Secretaries during high profile initiatives and challenges including deployment of $90 billion in clean energy investments under the Obama Recovery Act, the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan, the Gulf oil spill, and Hurricane Sandy. At the DOE, Brandon served on the investment committee for the department’s $38 billion clean energy fund.Brandon is a co-founder of Overture VC, a climate tech seed investment fund, and an Operating Partner at NGP Energy Technology Partners, an energy transition growth equity fund. In addition, Brandon is a Senior Advisor to Aligned Climate Capital, an investor in sustainability infrastructure and serves on the Evergreen Action Advisory Board.
