Brendan Carr
Chief Executive Officer, Mount Sinai Health System
Brendan Carr is the CEO of Mount Sinai Health System, which includes eight hospitals, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and over 400 ambulatory locations and physician practices. Carr has practiced clinical emergency medicine for more than 20 years and is a renowned clinician and health policy researcher who has built regional systems of emergency care and advised domestic and international organizations. A member of the National Academy of Medicine, Carr previously served on the faculty at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and as associate dean of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Earlier he held roles in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services focused on improving trauma and emergency care delivery for the nation, ensuring its ability to respond during large-scale threats to public health.
