Brian Wallach is the co-founder of I AM ALS, a patient-led, patient-centric movement seeking a cure to the disease. He is also co-founder and co-board chair of Synapticure, an ALS patient advocacy organization. Wallach is an associate at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. From 2014 to 2018, he served as an assistant United States attorney in the Northern District of Illinois, for which he received the inspector general’s Award of Excellence. From 2011 to 2013, he was senior vetting counsel in the Obama White House, responsible for overseeing the vetting process for nearly all Senate-confirmed executive branch appointees and all presidential appointments as well as working on congressional oversight investigations.
