Carol Quillen is president and CEO of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.Prior to this, Quillen was president of Davidson College, where she focused on access and affordability, reimagining the liberal arts for the present day, and equipping graduates to be service leaders. Previously, Quillen was vice president for international and interdisciplinary initiatives, as well as vice provost for academic affairs, at Rice University. Earlier in her career, Quillen was a founding member of the American Talent Initiative, co-chair of the NCAA’s Commission to Combat Campus Sexual Violence, and served on President Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans. She is a board member of the National Humanities Center, Howard University, and Princeton University. Quillen’s honors include Princeton University’s James Madison medal.
