Chad P. Bown is the Reginald Jones Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC. His research and writing examine international trade laws and institutions, trade negotiations, and trade disputes, and he co-hosts the “Trade Talks” podcast on the economics of international trade policy. Bown previously served as senior economist for international trade and investment on the White House Council of Economic Advisors, lead economist at the World Bank, and as a visiting scholar in economic research at the World Trade Organization Secretariat in Geneva. Previously, he was on the faculty at Brandeis University for twelve years and a tenured professor of economics.
