Chellie Pingree is a Democratic member of the US House of Representatives, representing Maine's 3rd Congressional District. In Congress, she advocates for federal policy to better support the blue economy, sustainable fisheries, and protect the oceans and coastal communities. Pingree serves on the Appropriations Committee, where she chairs the Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. She also serves on the Agriculture Committee. Previously, she was president and CEO of Common Cause and a member of the Maine Senate.
