Chip Bergh is president and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., since 2011, and sits on the company’s board of directors. His tenure has been marked by a return to the center of culture and purpose-driven leadership and an IPO in March 2019. Bergh previously spent 28 years at Procter & Gamble, most recently as group president for global male grooming. With roles including brand management, general management, and executive leadership, he led P&G’s business in India, Southeast Asia, and Australasia; helmed the creation and launch of Swiffer, and led Folgers Coffee and Jif peanut butter, among others. Bergh is also board chair of HP Inc. In 2019, he was named one of Fortune’s World’s Greatest Leaders and has been recognized for work on gun-violence prevention, climate change, and social and racial justice.
