Chris Berend is executive vice president of digital for NBCUniversal News Group. He oversees all digital business for NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, “Today,” “Stay Tuned,” and NBC News NOW. Prior to this, Berend was senior vice president of global video at CNN. There, he led CNN Digital in becoming the world’s top source of news video for four consecutive years and co-founded Great Big Story, a global media company dedicated to cinematic storytelling. Previously, Berend held digital-leadership positions at Bloomberg and ESPN. He began his career as an editor for Esquire magazine.
