Chris Lane is CEO of Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES), a nonprofit organization that provides environmental science education in ecology, climate change, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and forest health. He was previously vice president of environmental affairs for Xanterra Parks and Resorts, where he pioneered the development of environmental management systems in American national parks. Prior to that, Lane was director of environmental affairs at Aspen Skiing Company, the first such position in the industry. With 23 years of executive environmental management and corporate sustainability experience across varying sectors, he has also been an elected official and served on the Colorado governor’s Pollution Prevention Advisory Board.
