Christine Shiau

Christine Shiau is executive director of the Stevens Initiative at the Aspen Institute, which connects young people across contents and cultures through virtual exchange. With a passion for empowering young people and fostering cross-cultural understanding, she spearheads the Initiative’s vision and mission to drive transformative change, fostering a new generation of globally competent and culturally aware leaders. Shiau brings experience from both the public and private sectors to her role. Prior to leading the Stevens Initiative from its founding in 2015, she was a senior financial consultant with Kaiser Permanente and a manager in Cook County government in Chicago, among other roles. Shiau serves on the boards of the Alliance for International Exchange, AMP Global Youth, Podium Education and District of Columbia Public Schools’ Global Education programs.
