Christopher Dodd is senior counsel at Arnold & Porter. He was previously chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America. Prior to that, Dodd represented Connecticut in the US Congress, serving in the Senate from 1981 to 2011 and three terms in the House of Representatives. He chaired the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and served on the Foreign Relations and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committees. Deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act, he was principal author of bills that became law including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Child Care Act.
