Christopher Hill is chief advisor to the chancellor for global engagement and Professor of the Practice in Diplomacy at University of Denver, where he was previously dean of the Korbel School of International Studies. A former diplomat, Hill served as US ambassador to Iraq, South Korea, Poland, and Macedonia and special envoy to Kosovo. He was assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, leading the US delegation to the Six Party Talks on the North Korean nuclear issue. He has also been special assistant to the president and senior director on the National Security Council staff. Hill authored Outpost: Life on the Frontlines of American Diplomacy.
