Connie Yowell is CEO of LRNG. She was previously education director at the MacArthur Foundation, overseeing a $200 million effort over ten years to support research and design experiments in digital media and learning. Prior to that, she was an associate professor at University of Illinois, publishing scholarly work about young people’s emerging identity, social context, and achievement. Yarrow was briefly a policy analyst in the US Education Department during the Clinton administration. In 2004, she received the Distinguished Fellows Award from the William T. Grant Foundation, under which she worked with the National Writing Project to develop approaches that integrate Web 2.0 technologies into social practices of teachers.
