Policy Analyst, The Sycamore Institute
Courtnee Melton is a policy analyst for The Sycamore Institute, a nonpartisan public policy research center in Tennessee. In this position since 2016, Melton is responsible for conducting analyses of state budget and policy issues impacting the health and well-being of Tennesseans. She has experience conducting health outcomes research and managing clinical trials, including carrying out qualitative and quantitative analysis, discussing research findings with diverse audiences, and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts. Melton was previously a clinical translational research coordinator for Vanderbilt University Medical Center and held several roles at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she earned her doctorate degree in health outcomes and policy research.
