Dan Buettner, founder of Blue Zones, discovered the five places in the world where people live the longest, healthiest lives. Buettner partners with municipal governments, large employers, and health insurance companies to implement Blue Zones Projects—well-being initiatives that apply blue zones lessons to entire communities through changes to the local environment, public policy, and social networks. His new book, "The Blue Zones Secrets for Living Longer", checks on super-agers in the blue zones, focusing on the “secret sauce” of purpose, faith, community, down-time, natural movement, and plant-based eating powering up to 10 additional years of healthy living in these regions. Buettner also reveals the first man-made Blue Zone.
