Dan Chu is executive director of the Sierra Club Foundation, which funds efforts to address the climate crisis; protect land, waters, and wildlife; get people outdoors in nature; and advance environmental justice as the primary fiscal sponsor for the Sierra Club’s charitable programs. SCF also provides impact investments to advance climate solutions and social justice ventures as part of its aspiration to help accelerate the shift of trillions of dollars from an extractive economy to an economy that is sustainable and just for all. Previously, Chu was national director of the Sierra Club’s Our Wild America campaign and earlier was vice president for regional and affiliate programs at the National Wildlife Federation. He serves on the board of Confluence Philanthropy, an organization with over 200 members from philanthropy and investment entities.
