D'Angelo McDade

D’Angelo McDade is an active member of the student nonviolence group Peace Warriors. A recent graduate of North Lawndale College Prep in Chicago, he will be attending Depauw University this fall, majoring in economic and education studies and minoring in business administration and political science. In summer 2017, McDade was shot along with several friends and family members while sitting on the front porch of his Chicago home. He has bullet fragments in the back of his thigh, which he received while ushering his family to safety inside. As a Peace Warrior, McDade uses his voice; his theme is: “Accept suffering without retaliation for the sake of the cause to achieve the goal.”
